I’ve repaired a lot of chairs and none have meant more to me than these two.
My maternal grandfather was born in 1915 and he sat in this chair when he was a little boy. After him, his children sat in this chair, and then his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren after that. I have great memories of my grandfather and time spent on the family farm. So it was a special honor to put a new seat in this chair for my aunt, getting it ready for future generations.
My grandfather was a hard working farmer and deserving of every moment he was able to sit down. This was one his favorite chairs and has been in my uncle’s house for many years. During a recent visit to the farm I was blessed with the opportunity to make my grandpa’s chair whole again.
