I ordered a few boxes of planed, precut barnwood for this project. My client wanted lights on the headboard and really like the idea of making them touch controlled. Labeling the boards once the layout looked right was a good idea. Then they were glued and nailed to the backer board.
This headboard was hung with a french cleat so there was space behind to allow the electrical to be tacked in place once the fixtures were operational.
